Parish and Town Councils form the first tier of government, and have the same powers to provide many services and facilities.

They represent grass roots views, and influence the decisions made by others on the way our communities are shaped and developed.

Your Parish Council has the statutory right to be consulted on planning applications and will also be consulted on many community and planning strategies.

The leaflet "What can local councils do?" gives a flavour of your local council's activities and influence.

Member councils may access more detailed information on our members' page.

There are 151 Parish and Town Councils and 10 Parish Meetings in Worcestershire.

Clerks of member Councils have the benefit of a password protected members' page with privileged comprehensive guidance and information.

The spreadsheet "Parish and Town Councils in Worcestershire" is a useful alphabetical list identifying certain attributes.
