The Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) is the recognised bespoke qualification for Clerks to Parish and Town Councils, and is one of the tests for Quality Parish Status.

It is a portfolio based qualification. CALC has achieved a high proportion of passes at distinction level amongst Clerks following our tried and tested route via our Foundation Course of 4 modules followed by CiLCA surgeries. The latter offer round-table support in the preparation of the evidence based portfolio and an opportunity to network with other clerks preparing portfolios.

The society of Local Council Clerks and the University of Gloucestershire also provide ciLCA courses.

Keep an eye on nalc.gov.uk/training for more information.
