We have an exciting opportunity for a Clerk/RFO. Starting salary of SCP18-23 dependant on experience and qualifications. 10 hours per week.

Summary 

The Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Parish Clerk, However, anyone with experience in the local Government administration looking to progress to the next stage in their career will be considered. 

Applicants should have sound IT skills, experience in finance, preparation of agendas and reports for Council or committee meetings and accurate recording of minutes of meetings. 

The post includes management of the financial responsibilities of the Council, including accounts, budget preparation and annual audit. Duties also include communicating with Parish, District and County Councillors, managing the cemetery, churchyard and allotments and administering the Council’s website and Facebook. Ideally CILCA qualified although consideration will be given to applicants working towards CILC qualification. 

The successful applicant will be expected to work from home on a flexible basis of 10 hours per week to include attendance at monthly Parish Council and Committee meetings. The Council currently meets on the third Tuesday of each month. 

Annual salary is paid in accordance with the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) pay scale (LC2 SCP18-23) and will be negotiable depending on experience.
