Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer – Stoulton Parish Council


Stoulton Parish Council are seeking a Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer.  This is an administrative role for 5 hours per week working from home, reporting to the Parish Council with attendance at bimonthly meetings (January, March, May, July, September & November) at Stoulton Village Hall.

The applicant needs a high level of professionalism, excellent administrative skills and some book keeping/accountancy knowledge.  Computer literacy is required with full knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with website control would be an advantage.   The applicant also needs to be an excellent communicator who can work well both on their own or within a team and dealing with members of the public.

The clerk is responsible for the day to day running of the parish council, keeping up to date financial records, attending parish council meetings and recording minutes of those meetings and completing all actions arising from those minutes.  There will also be the need to deal with issues reported by residents or District/County Councillors.

Remuneration is based on the national pay scales SCP (hourly rate of approximately £12.00 per hr) dependent upon qualifications and experience.   There is also an element of working from home allowance per month.
