Crowle Parish Council (Wychavon)

Crowle Parish Council has a vacancy for a pro-active and dynamic Parish Clerk/RFO working 12.5 hours per week. Pay on NJC scale for Local Government Services SCP 29-32 depending on experience (£20.66. – 22.20/hr).

Crowle is situated to the East of the M5 near Worcester and is a rural village with approx. 900 voters on the electoral register. This number is due to rise significantly over the next 12-48 months due to several large housing developments currently going through the planning process. It is a vibrant community with many active groups and much history.

The Council currently has 6 very active and responsive councillors and 3 vacancies. As well as the Clerk, the Council employs a part-time Field Manager.

The precept currently stands at £43,057 per annum and the Parish Council owns and manages playing fields, a play area, a multi-use games area, tennis and bowls courts, allotments, car parking and a parish garden, and produces a parish newsletter each month. The Council is also at Regulation 14 stage of its Neighbourhood Plan.

Excellent IT, accounting and communication skills are essential for this role. The Council would prefer applicants to hold the CiLCA qualification or be willing to attain this qualification within 12 months. There are some exciting projects, both underway and on the horizon, so holding the General Power of Competence would be beneficial.

This is a home-based position with attendance required at monthly Parish Council meetings held in the evenings at the Parish Hall, plus the Annual Parish Meeting and occasional in-person or online attendance at working groups which focus on specific areas.
