Ripple Parish Council – Parish Lengthsman Vacancy (4 hours per week)
Ripple Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Parish Lengthsman for approximately 4 hours per week.
Applicants must hold Public Liability Insurance to a minimum value of £5 million. The Lengthsman will also be required to hold an approved LANTRA qualification, or be willing to undertake the training upon appointment.
The Parish Lengthsman is a self‑employed contractor who plays an important role in maintaining and improving the local environment. The role involves practical maintenance tasks across the parish, particularly relating to roadside verges and drainage. The successful applicant must provide their own transport, tools, and equipment.
Key Duties – Drainage Maintenance
- Clearing gully grates
- Clearing verge grips
- Clearing headwalls and outfalls
