Wyre Forest Connect is an exciting project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, bringing together local voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to build a stronger, more connected and sustainable community sector.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Programme Manager to lead this work and help shape and deliver the future of community support across Wyre Forest.
What will you be doing?
- Building strong relationships between community groups, charities, statutory services and other partners.
- Providing practical support to VCSE organisations, including governance, fundraising, financial planning, safeguarding and organisational development.
- Coordinating training, networking opportunities, outreach sessions and community drop-ins.
- Identifying opportunities for collaboration, helping organisations access funding and develop their services.
- Monitoring project progress, measuring impact and helping secure the project’s long-term sustainability.
- Championing the VCSE sector and ensuring local organisations have a stronger voice in decisions affecting their communities.
What are we looking for?
We’re seeking someone who has:
- Experience of project management, fundraising and bid writing.
- An understanding of the VCSE sector and organisational governance.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and partnership-working skills.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and budget-awareness skills.
- Experience of marketing, PR, websites and social media.
- A genuine passion for local communities and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
You’ll need a full driving licence and access to a car, with flexibility to attend occasional events outside normal working hours.
Experience of supporting volunteers, managing people or holding a project management qualification would be an advantage.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to help local organisations become stronger, build lasting partnerships and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives across Wyre Forest.
If you’re a proactive, people-focused individual who enjoys bringing people together and turning ideas into action, we’d love to hear from you!
